No matter where you are on your journey, or what feeding your baby looks like for you, we are here to support you.

At Mamas & Milk, we strive to foster the connection between parent and baby. One of the ways to build that bond is through feeding your baby. It may come easily; it may be filled with challenges - we have been there! Let us know how we can help. We offer private breastfeeding/chestfeeding support throughout San Diego County with Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs).

We are currently accepting the following insurances: Aetna PPO, UCSD HMO, Cigna PPO, Anthem PPO, Blue Cross PPO, Blue Shield PPO, United Healthcare, and PNOA plans and can bill them for you pending insurance verification. Starting Feb 1, 2023 there will be a travel fee applied to all home visits. Please let us know if you have one of these insurance carriers at booking.

When to seek help:

Breastfeeding/chestfeeding /feeding with your body and not sure when to get help? If you have asked yourself that question, it is already time!  Here are some of the things our Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) can help with:

  • Painful latch

  • Baby not latching

  • Sore nipples

  • Cracked nipples

  • Nipple shields

  • Feeling there is not enough milk

  • Weight gain issues

  • Tongue tie and/or lip tie issues

  • Baby hospitalized or in the NICU

  • Premature baby

  • Feeding multiples (twins, etc.)

  • Plugged ducts, breast pain, and/or Mastitis

  • Oversupply

  • Bottle feeding issues

  • Induced Lactation

  • Chestfeeding

  • Pumping issues/Flange fittings

  • Weaning
